Make sure your skin is oil and lotion free the day of waxing.
Apply wax only on clean and dry skin.
You may add corn starch or any makeup powder to absorb any excess moisture and oils from your skin in order to ensure that the wax sticks onto hairs only. This will prevent wax from sticking onto your skin.
For best results, let your hair grow at least 2 weeks, wait until it's the length of an eyelash before waxing hairs.
Do NOT apply wax onto irritated or damaged skin!
Keep skin moisturized days before depilation and afterwards.
You can remove any wax residue with coconut oil.
Step 2: Wax On, Wax Off.
Fully melt your hard wax beans then let it cool off.
Wait until you get a caramel-like texture. The melted wax should not be too runny but rather thick and moldable. If uncertain, add a drop of wax on a flat surface, and if the drop is curved and smooth, then your wax has the ideal consistency! It needs to have a thick syrup consistency. If the wax is too runny then it's overheated and let it cool.
Always check the temperature of the wax before the application! To check its temperature, add a drop of wax on the back of your hand. It should feel warm and pleasant.
When the wax temperature is good, spread the wax onto a clean surface of your skin using the wooden spatula. Apply wax toward the direction of your hair growth. Always apply some pressure when applying the wax onto your skin.
Wait a few moments to allow the wax to completely cool down and dry. Then lift the edges of the wax very slightly until you have a decent grip. Pull parallel to the strip and toward the opposite direction of hair growth.
To relieve any discomfort, you may immediately press your hand onto the waxed skin for a soothing sensation.
